We often measure AI intelligence through speed, computing power, data, and overall performance. But are these measures telling us how intelligent a system really is? How much of an AI system's performance comes from its own capabilities, and how much depends on the infrastructure supporting it? Consider an AI system operating with stable electricity, cloud access, and continuous internet connectivity. It performs well under these conditions. But what happens when some of that infrastructure becomes unavailable? Can it still adapt, learn from real-world feedback, and make useful decisions? This question led me to develop a research-stage framework called the Organic Intelligence Protocol (OIP). OIP explores three key concepts: Infrastructure Independence: How dependent is a system on external infrastructure? Grounded Feedback Loop: Can a system improve its decisions through real-worl…

It is part of a fast-moving week in AI, as researchers, builders, and enterprises keep adjusting to what the latest capabilities mean for them.
