The court moved after logging roughly nineteen AI-related complaints in just the first eleven days of the campaign period, an early indicator of how central synthetic media has become to election-integrity concerns worldwide. Brazil joins a growing list of countries writing AI-specific rules into election law rather than relying on general misinformation statutes, reflecting how much easier convincing synthetic audio, video and images have become to produce.
